(This project is in a beta stage. Models, textures, and triggernames are prone to change).
Have you ever wished that Minecraft was more traditionally fantasy? That the villagers you meet and entrap were more varied in design? Fret not, Mypowerbob's Fantasy Villagers is here!
A resourcepack-that-requires-mods that'll let you transform villagers into a variation of different creatures just by renaming them!
As seen on TV (And by TV I mean Youtube, which is kinda the modern TV anyway). Subscribe to my Youtube channel to see updates on this pack: https://www.youtube.com/@mypowerbob/featured
Built on top of Intermet179's "Villagers With Arms" resource pack,
which you can find here: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/villagers-with-arms-optifine-required/
Features:
- 15 variations of dwarves
- 15 variations of gnomes
- 15 variations of elves (x2 for masculine or feminine eyes)
- 18 variations of orcs (x2 for masculine or feminine eyes)
- 4 variations of goblins (x2 for golden earrings on right ear)
How to use:
Villagers must be named with a name tag to transform.
The names are simply:
- Dwarf
- Gnome
- Elf
- Orc
- Goblin
Certain variations of each species have a higher chance to appear than other variations.
Dwarves are more likely to be young and bearded rather than old or shaven for example.
Wandering traders will spawn as a random species, but favors vanilla villagers.
Installation:
There are two options for installing this pack and getting it to work.
Option 1: Optifine.
The easiest and fastest way is to install Optifine.
1. Download and install Optifine here: https://optifine.net/home
2. Download the Fantasy Villager pack named "Optifine" and place it in your Resourcepack folder.
Option 2: Non-Optifine.
If you're like me you're using some alternatives to Optifine instead. In that case there are some other mods you can install.
1. Download and install Fabric: https://fabricmc.net/
OR download and install Forge: https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/
2. Download Entity Model Features and place it in the Mods folder: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/entity-model-features
3. Download Entity Texture Features and place it in the Mods folder: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/entity-texture-features-fabric
4. Download the Fantasy Villager pack named "Alternative" and place it in your Resourcepack folder.
