Welcome to Arkhala!
SCRAPPED (For now)
Arkhala was really fun to work on and I'm proud of the product I put out, but I lost all inspiration to work on it after releasing the first version. The code in most of the scripts is really messy, the balancing isn't the best, the constant amount of enemies you have to fight off is more annoying than fun, the dungeon that exists feels short and lackluster, the cutscenes are basically running on pasta and marshmallows, the story I set up for the map isn't the greatest but I can't exactly go back on it due to how many dialogs refer to the story, and most importantly, the world looks terrible. I really want to redo the world, make Arkhala look better.
So yeah, for the most part the project in this current version is scrapped. If requested, I'll go back and fix the file for the old version so that the player actually spawns in adventure mode with no items (I think I was a moron and uploaded the developer version). The original was just too crude and messy to work with, the world looked terrible, and the storyline I had bound the map to gave me no space to change and put new ideas down, as well as being generally garbage.
What is Arkhala? Arkhala is a modded Minecraft 1.12.2 adventure map for Forge version 14.23.5.2854. It features ~50 mods, but the main one it makes use of is Custom NPCs. It's been a passion project of mine for well over a year now, and I'm incredibly happy to be able to present a publicly useable and somewhat enjoyable version.
Arkhala takes huge inspiration from The Legend of Zelda, as I really love the mostly-linear storytelling and progression found in the older mainline Zelda games and wanted to implement it as best I could into Minecraft.
This is the world save file for Arkhala. The mods can be found here: Link Removed: http://www.mediafire.com/file/73e2r2i0fzq14wv/Arkhala_v0.1_Mods.zip/file [REMOVED LINK, IF REQUESTED I WILL UPLOAD AN ACTUAL MODPACK]
Arkhala cannot run without the mods or configs, and will simply be a corrupted empty world if loaded without them.
Instructions on how to download Arkhala and its mods are also found in a README.txt in the modpack file.
This map will be uploaded in parts. The first part, The Royal Return, is currently finished and available for download. Look for versions labeled 0.1.

Join my Discord for more information on Arkhala or if you simply want to directly talk to me about something: (There is no discord yet, but I might make one in the future!)
If you find any issues, please report them down below. Instructions on what to do depending on certain issues you may have are found in the README.txt in the map's modpack folder. If you have an issue that isn't listed with instructions in README.txt, just simply leave them down below in the comments and I'll read it eventually.
Any criticisms of my map are accepted and will be seen as long as they are constructive. Comments or messages like "I hate your map" or "This map has no effort put into it at all!" will simply be ignored. Criticisms sent in my Discord will always be seen, as I check my Discord far more often than I check Curseforge. I also accept help from others on scripting for Custom NPCs, but only through Discord.
Have fun!
