Alright, folks. I've finally finished the single-player version of my infamous Mazetower. This is a tower that I usually build on SMP servers (usually the ones that have some sort of flying enabled, as it's next to impossible to build it without flying) and it's a timed challenge that I ordinarily give prizes out for completing it in the time allotted - it's generally thirty minutes. (Prizes are usually things like server cash or diamonds or whatever, and more prizes are given for beating the best time). Being that this is SSP, though, there is no real time limit (unless you can -prove-, with a video, that you can complete it in under half an hour).
The challenge isn't that it's just one giant maze. There are ten floors, each with their own theme. There are water floors, parkour floors, trivia floors, minecart lava floors, and more. I've changed a couple of the designs of the floors - I shied away from using parkour/timing puzzles on SMP servers, as those are unreliable and unfair, especially if you have high lag, but on SSP they're completely doable.
The tower itself is only deadly on the third and seventh floors, and then only if you are dumb enough to let yourself die - there aren't any booby traps or punishments for making mistakes - except the mistake of NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU ARE DOING. What it is, though, is -hard-. I mean, -very difficult-, especially the third, fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth floors. This isn't just a random assortment of blocks I threw together and said "lol maze". I've done this at least a dozen times on different servers over the years - I know what I'm doing, and what I'm doing is making you work for it.
If you want a little help, however, there is a secret hint room hidden not too far from spawn - almost right under your nose, in fact.
This is the first iteration - I've tested it myself and it works, but in case you get stuck, message me and I'll see what I can do. Good luck!
