Important Note:
This map requires you to change your 'chat settings' and chat to 'hidden' as well as turn 'Subtitles off', as it is cheating and reveals the answer to the sound used in the commands. So please remember to do this. There is in the spawn/explanation room a command block to showcase what I mean so you know what will not be displayed when you 'hide' the chat response. I do want to change this in the future but with my basic understanding of commands I have yet to learn a better method to go about this.
Alternative 2 Player/House Rules Option (not a feature, just an idea for multiple players):
The map itself is built to allow commands to affect all players but if you have 2 players you could either play it where you both guess, or have 1 guess and the other guide the other by knowing the answer. A sort of house rules sort of option like you would with Card games or Board games. This isn't a feature of the map, it's just an idea I came up with if someone wants to make the map more interesting for multiple players and to have 1 player still have the chat settings on while the other doesn't as just something to consider.
Release Trailer (No Audio, Not Too Much Showcased, But An Idea Of The Room & Question/Answer Presentation):
Trailer 2 coming soon... Just a fun one I got the idea for and wanted to test out. Might add content in the map alongside it, maybe not.
Playthrough of Map by Avatar2003 Official:
Gamemode Requirement:
It is recommended to play in Survival also, which in the Beta is on by default when you enter the map. The reason for this is to place the pressure plates to open each room's doors blocking access. When you get an answer correct you will get a Stone Pressure Plate. But it isn't tagged so you don't need Adventure Mode for this and doing so would make the map unplayable due to the plates not being tagged at all, so please play in Survival.
Goal/Map Description:
This map is a map about Sound Effects, if you get an answer correct you will get a Stone Pressure Plate to advanced to the next room. If you guess incorrectly it will give you an item that's taunting/teasing you or just an explanation saying why your incorrect/it's not the answer your looking for. The rooms will have common sounds but get more obscure as the rooms go on. This map unlike other Sound Quiz maps (that I've seen recently) focuses on 1 sound and giving you 4 answers to respond based on what that sound is, compared to other Sound Quiz maps focusing on multiple sounds and 'what is the odd one out' or 'what relates to what'. Check the trailer-s if your unsure what I mean to see based on how each room is presented.
There is a total of 14 rooms in the 1st part of the map which is all the proper rooms, 9 are just the sound and 4 options to guess from. And the latter rooms past 9 have mentions above them of the more in-depth specifics of the sound. There is all 11 Bonus Rooms and 3 Observational questions in the final room after the major ones for more to do, but they are more obscure or typical for me doing Observational type questions XD. Many of the answers in the Book from the Beta/Final Room then are used here and 'some' are changed to be more recognisable then obscure due to balancing reasons.
Scenario of question difficulty: In the beginning it might be a Grass Block placing sound and a good variety of options to answer from so it's not awkward or difficult but later on it might have you considering having to answer between the state of being underwater by either swimming, entering the water, exiting the water, or some far off answer where 2 to 3 answers can be very close to what is the correct answer so it's more tougher in that way rather than more spaced out with a 3 mobs you haven't experienced ever and having a tougher time guessing them.
In the Release version of the map there is the finished Room 14 and 11 Bonus Rooms besides a 3 Question Observational Room I add to all my maps and will continue to do so. :)
Many of the Bonus Rooms include sounds stated were going to be added in the Final Room of the Beta. Some are different due to recognisability though but are related to the same blocks/mobs though.
If The Beta/Release versions need fixes or changes let me know.
As per usual, I'm after feedback for the map. And DON'T REPOST THE MAP TO OTHER SITES. IF YOU WANT IT POSTED IT TO SAY PLANET MINECRAFT or MINECRAFTMAPS.COM LET ME KNOW BUT OTHERWISE PLEASE DON'T REPOST THE MAP.
