What is Forts under Siege?
Forts under Siege is a PvP map, best played with as many people as possible. It is an authentic battle between two medieval forts. The players will be divided in two teams - red and blue - and will proceed to their fort. The goal is to destroy the enemy's fort's core. The core is situated on top of the castle's flag, it's an obsidian casing with lava inside. Once your team is able to destroy the enemy's core and when the lava starts dripping down the flag and burns it, your team wins!

Buy powerful weapons, create deadly potions and enchant your weapons to rip your enemy apart!

Check out the trailer here!

At the beginning, your team will get two stacks of sand. You're probably thinking: "Why the hell do I need sand?". I'll explain: sand is the currency in this game. Yes, you heard me. At the back of each fort there's a shop with tons of stuff you can buy with the sand: weapons, armor (also enchanted), arrows, TNT, fire charges and much more.
Out of sand? No problem, you can find more sand in the forest.

Once you've done that, you can start exploring your fort. Your castle contains several floors. Here's a list:

  • 1st floor: entrance
  • 2nd floor: tools/enchantment tables/brewing stands
  • 3rd floor: farm (if you're out of food)
  • 4th floor: food supply
  • 5th floor: TNT cannons
  • 6th floor: flag + core

There are also 2 towers, one on each side of the castle.

Check out this video which demonstrates how to load a cannon!

So what do we do after we've done that?
Once you've done that, you can start attacking your opponent. You have two options: you can attack from a distance (TNT cannon, dispenser, bow & arrow, ...) or you can rush to their fort and have some close combat. Or you could just divide your team in 2 and do both.

Watch out when you choose option 2 though. In between the castles there's a forest full of treasures... but also full of traps. Try not to step on pressure plates!

Treasures? What kind of treasures?
Sand (= money), diamonds, iron, bottles o' enchanting and more.

Do I even need diamonds or iron?
Yeah, kinda. The shop's stock is not unlimited, so eventually you'll run out of weapons, armor and tools. What should you do then? You should listen to your survival instincts: get some wood, get some diamonds or iron and make your own weapons, tools and armor!

Ok, sounds like this map is huge. Do you have a map?

I suppose there are some rules, too?

  1. Always wear a dyed leather cap in your team's color! (They are at the spawn)
  2. Do not destroy the spawn, the glass tunnels to the forts or the shop.
  3. Do not cheat. You could just break into the shop and steal stuff or go to the next floor in the castle by using the fountain, but don't. Fair play!
  4. Do not go through the other team's door at the spawn if you're not on that team.
  5. You are only allowed to be in the forest surrounded by the forts and the cobblestone walls. Do not break these walls. Do not jump off your fort to get past it either.

Can I see some screenshots too?
