CCF Team Monobattles

Hello everyone,

This map is based on Team Monobattles by Arkeia, a map which my friends have played a lot of since its release. We did however, notice a couple issues with it and I thought I could improve upon it. All credit for the idea is based on his map and goes to Arkeia and the original Day[9] Monobattles' author Klishu.

Available on:

- Megaton (February 4th, 2012)
- Abyss (February 13th, 2012)
- Lava Flow (February 14th, 2012)
- Zenith (February 17th, 2012)
- Magma Core (February 26th, 2012)
- Tempest (February 26th, 2012)
- Sand Canyon (March 7th, 2012)
- Extinction (March 7th, 2012)
- Outpost (March 8th, 2012)
- Big Game Hunters (March 8th, 2012)

This map was rushed, having been worked on for a few hours here and there only a week and half. However, I do believe most things should be working with no issues.

Please, if you have any bug reports, suggestions, or other feedback let me know in the comments.

It is a 4v4 game that follows standard melee rules, however players can only use one unit type for combat. Each team must work together with their unit choices to take down the enemy team.

Differences from Team Monobattles:

Lobby Options

- The host can set units to be displayed for players in different ways. Either units will be displayed for all players (default) or players will only see allied players' unit choices.
- The host can set unit selection to be dropped in favor of making all players having their units randomly selected.

Unit Selection

- Protoss and Terran players can check a checkbox to remove the Mothership or Medivac from being chosen when they confirm Random as their unit.
- The time remaining before all unconfirmed players are set to Random is displayed (30 seconds).
- The number of players who have not confirmed yet is displayed.
- Allies' unit choices are displayed via text message to each other ("[Player Name] chose Marine") as soon as they are confirmed.
- Allies' unit choices are also displayed once confirmed in the dialog on the top right of the screen.
- Players who confirm as Random will have a Red Random die placed on the top left of their unit's image.

Gameplay Changes

- Starting units are not placed until after the units are confirmed for all players. This prevents Protoss players from being able to take advantage of long Unit Selection times with Nexus energy regeneration.
- Terran players can build Medivacs regardless of whether they have chosen the Medivac as their unit or not. They will however be unable to Heal targets unless they are the player's confirmed unit.
- Queens can be built in an infinite amount (No Hatchery requirements), however they cannot use the Attack command unless chosen as your unit.
- Lift-off Forced Draws are dealt with, dealing 500 damage to a building every 45 seconds if there are no other Terran buildings left on the ground and the player is flying it toward the edge.
