2 - 6 players will attempt to hold out against unyielding masses of zerg and protoss. While each player is of course able to upgrade, so is the AI. If a player does not keep on top of upgrading armor, the AI will unmercifully overpower them.
Objective: Destroy the AI before they destroy you.
- Enemy Surges: Every 3 Minutes
- AI Evolution: Every 3.5 Minutes
- AI Boss Fights: Every 4.5 Minutes
Player kills against units will result in set mineral rewards, depending on the unit and a shared resource system is implemented which gives 5 minerals to each non-killing player.
Players will harvest vespene gas to use toward technology and unit unlocking.
In addition to standard upgrades, each unit has a set of unlockable passive abilities such as:
- Critical Strikes (Cost: 100 Vespene)
- Weapon Range Boosts (Cost: 100 Vespene)
- Slow Enemy Effects (Cost: 100 Vespene)
- Weapon Damage Boosts (Cost: 100 Vespene)
- Splash Damage (Cost: 100 Vespene)
Each of these abilities scale with the upgrades applied to your units. (Active Abilities I.E. Nuclear Strikes, will be made available in future releases.)
Additional units of the same type you chose can be purchased for 1100 minerals, while the ability to unlock other varied units will cost 100 Vespene.
Player units can be selected two at a time and merged for 2400 minerals to produce a hero.
A little history on TOS: Test of Survival has it's roots back as far as 2001 and players have since been humbled by the overpowering AI of the map. Now I've brought TOS to SC II for another generation to enjoy, and hate.
