This is a set I been working on due to wanting some easy to place beds with linens attached for those budget watching sims (am always wanting something simple for starter homes).
A short while ago I released a similar pack in neutral, softer, tones, though that was my jump into figuring out how to get things the way I wanted. There was a lot of trial and error but it did result in a useful pack, so I shared it here ("softly slumber") while working on this crazy smash of colour and design that's sort of all over the place.
If you might have guessed, my preference leans towards making fun, vibrant, stuff, but also loads of other styles from the past (a lot of it from my own past!). Also, while I generally like to go for authenticity with sampling and rebuilding patterns, and such, to work in the game, the rugs were created from inspiration only as I couldn't see how to do it more authentically, so I re-designed these completely from the base rug up, but think the designs still turned out fairly well.
Set Notes:
- This is basically a re-colour, though the wood veneer bedframe does have some added detail as well.
- The beds are only double, as I felt there needed to be more variety for adults, though some would make lovely doubles for youthful sims as well.
- The bedspreads are all based from vintage fabrics from different parts of the 20th century (mainly mid-century), and yes, the chenille bedspread was necessary
- The beds come in veneered wood with brass accent as well as plain painted version in white, deep blue, brick red and yellow, which are available with a number of different bedspreads
- The dresser, wardrobe and nightstand come in matching veneered wood with brass accents as well as plain painted versions in deep blue, brick red and yellow (white is already available in base-game)
- Rugs! There are 10! bed-side rugs in all (see images for more details)
- This is all base-game and while they are stand-alone, they are to compliment the already present items already in game.
