Haunted Objects Conversion Freeplay to 4

63 items!!  Damn.

This set took me a great long while.  It was full of ups and downs.  I even had to go back and re-rip every single object I had finished because I found out I was using Ninja Ripper incorrectly.  But I've finally finished it.  My Sims 4 "Haunted" objects conversion.

This set features the "haunted" items from Sims Freeplay and any that even kinda fit the bill.  The only items that I didn't convert were the wall textures and the grass texture.  They just didn't turn out nice at all and I have serious doubts that the wall textures can be made to fit medium or tall walls.  To make them work on even short walls they have to be resized twice over making them blurry and crappy and, at that point, it's not worth it.

At first I really only wanted the items shaped like a coffin to go with my cemetery (I'm kinda literal).  But as I kept going I saw that most of these items would make a nice lived-in cemetery for my Reapers. I actually don't like the Sims Freeplay all that much, but the items themselves have a lot of character and the spooky stuff includes some of my favorites.

The prices are based on what these objects sell for - which means the selling prices divided by ten percent.  The prices in Freeplay are really, REALLY high (since it's a freemium game and all), but I wanted to stay true to the source.  This seems like it works alright.

Be advised that these objects weren't really made with Sims4 in mind and so some have inherent glitches and oddities.  However, I've done my best to make them as usable and as true as possible.  They're also from a cell phone game, so they just aren't as detailed as meshes from a PC game.  I still think they look alright, but I'm putting that out there right now.  The actual size of the textures (for objects at least) is comparable to that of the Sims4 objects, surprisingly enough.

Also, there's only one recolour - one that comes from a glitch when ripping these textures from the game.  I included it because I thought it's neat.  Is there’s a Simmer who feels inspired you can make recolours if you like.  Just don’t repost my mesh.  And let me know – it’d be neat.

Item list (with notes on glitches and necessary mods):

"Haunted" Fences - the middle part of this blurs a lot just because of the way the game handles textures.  The "end" part has different swatches to differentiate different ends and a mid section.  You must use the moveobjects cheat to use this object.

K9 House - this was made using tuning by Menaceman44's Pet House.  You need his pet house for this to work.  I know, it's not really a "haunted" item, but it was in Freeplay's Haunted House, right?  This item has some clipping issues.

Haunted Elevator - On it's own it's just a cloned elevator from the Get Together package, you need K9DB's Teleporter and Elevators for community and residential lots mod to place the correct markers to use this item.  No actual tuning is applied to my elevator, the marker in question has to be placed under it.  I had to modify this to be used in the Sims4, so it looks a little different here than in Freeplay proper.  There's also an offset version that works better with walls, but not the marker.

Nosferatu's Chamber - I tried really hard to get this right.  The Sim's head floats a bit off the pillow, but it's the best I got.  I had to remove any interactions that involve covers including any tucking in or woo hooing.  Your Sim will only be able to get a quick nap from THIS bed.  You also can't assign it for a butler.  But it’s a different sort of coffin, which allows for variety – which is what I’m after.

Dracula's Shower - I'm happy that I got this to work, but I had to compromise some.  Sadly I had to modify the mesh by mirroring it.  Also there aren't any doors to open AND it's an irregular shape.  If you like it you'll have to live with clipping issues I'm afraid.

"Haunted" Mailbox - This item does work, but it just doesn't look right in relation to ANY interactive animation.  If you don't mind that and want a gargoyle as your mailbox, use this!

Other objects include:

Antique Cat Bed - a bed for small pets - dogs too, despite the name.

Blood Bank Fridge - I've modified this so you can buy Plasma Packs directly from it instead of the computer.  However, this is just the computer's interaction applied to the fridge; I couldn't get it to spawn the item like regular foodstuffs.  I did have to modify the mesh to have more depth.

Bloodtub - With actual red water! (That .... IS water right? ... oh no.)

Books of the Dead

Dracula's Dining Chair

Eerie Door - I had to shorten the mesh a bit.  Otherwise I'm pretty happy with it.  This was hard to make, but I finally did it.

Ghost Containment Tank - Sadly, I could not get the special effects working like in the game.  It doesn’t swirl around and, due to the way the game handles alpha I had to nix the bubbles.  But you can enjoy staring at the ghosts all you like and it lights up!  Basically it's a glorified lamp!

Halloween Party Table - Yes, I converted this gaudy mess.  And it works AND it has slots for more!  It's somewhat more successful than the original since I changed the seating positions to allow it to be used (UNLIKE Sims Freeplay).  I also got the candle to behave properly!  So I’m proud of this object.  Even though I kinda hate the look of this item. (So why did I try so hard?)

Haunted Paintings - Includes all four paintings.

The Hearse

Jack O Lantern - Tuned to be a table lamp.  TBH I like the evil expression this pumpkin has.

Long Blood Red Couch - It way longer than the longest couch in the game, but ... oh, well!  I guess Freeplay's Sims just have a wider stance.

Newly Dug grave - From Freeplay's graveyard; great to give your cemetery a creepy vibe.  I've made it into a dance mat, so you can recreate the "dance" interaction from Sims 2 (console).  No chance of dying from this, though.  A Sim’s feet go through this; think of it as them sinking in the dirt.

Patchwork Teddy - Yeah, not really a "Haunted" item, but I kinda though it fit them theme.

Plagued Statue - I gave it working candles!

Plush Blood Red Couch

Scarecrow - This shares the tuning with Season's Scarecrow, but never seems to come to life.  There's a crow that tries to perch on it, but only lands on thin air.

"Mawdrey" the Sim Eating Plant - Just a glorified statue, but it looks cool.

Skeleton - This turned out better than I ever thought it would.  I also made "grave" versions, so you can place it on top of the Newly Dug Grave to get a similar effect to that of Sims Freeplay.  The art style is very different from Sims4, so think of it more as Halloween decoration than a real skeleton.

Spine Chilling Fireplace - with working candles!  Unfortunately I had to make them light along with the fireplace proper.

Spooky Chains

Spooky Windows - Sadly, I could only make deco candle flames.  Right Clicking on this makes it all black .... I guess they never expected this sort of item to be clickable.

Toilet of the Damned

Tombstones - The various tombstones from the Haunted House's graveyard, both skewed and upright.  A few of these are hokey, but I still think they make for a more colorful graveyard.

Undead Lamp - Like the Skeleton statue, I was surprised this turned out so well.

Vampire Chest - including a flipped version so you can keep things symmetrical in a room.

Vampire Counters and Corners (as individual items; Freeplay's kitchen stuff isn't totally compatible with how Sims 4 organizes things).

Vampire Dining Table

Vampire Living Chair

Vampire Sink (both based off the counters and based off the bathroom sink)

Wilted Roses

Floor Textures:

Bloody Dungeon

Rocky Dungeon

Scratched Dungeon

Skeleton Base

Wicked Pumpkin

Have fun using these objects to liven up your spooky Sims4 spaces!
