To start registering a profile on one of the two apps and choosing the gender you are interested in dating, this will not affect the selector your sims will see when choosing "Go on a blind date" for one of the two apps, that It will always show all sims above teenagers, but it will affect the random phone calls you will receive from sims interested in dating you.
