YES! ANOTHER MOD ABOUT THE FLAWED EMOTION SYSTEM (and probably the last). I came up with this idea recently and thought it would work greatly since it adds another layer of depth and realism to the system. This mod aims to prevent buffs when Sims (children through elders) are in negative emotions.
EX: Sim 1 is currently Angry and if he drinks or eats something or is in a nicely decorated room or you want him to watch the cooking channel for inspiration etc... those buffs will not be given!
Sim 2 is currently Fine so instead they will actually BE ABLE to gain those positive buffs!
As you can see this aims to prevent even more the emotion switching and make negative emotions last longer.
Someone died and your Sims feels Sad? Well you now have to put hard work on them to put Sims in a positive emotion, begone are the days of stupid little insignificant buffs overriding that sadness! This only works when on negative emotions, it doesn't prevent negative emotions buffs from being added when in a positive emotion.
I made this mod with 3 "difficulty" flavors, this one is the normal version but if you want to pick another difficulty, you can do so by downloading them on my patreon!
I'm going to explain what they do:

Limited Positivity EASY: Just prevents Happy buffs from being given to Sims in negative emotions. (Cheerful Sims are excluded by it).

Limited Positivity NORMAL: Prevents certain positive emotions from being given to Sims:
Angry Sims will NOT be able to gain Focused, Flirty, Confident, Happy and Inspired buffs which means you can make them either Energized or Playful (They lost control of themselves so be sure to make them hit the gym to blow off some steam or doing mischievious things to other sims).
Sad Sims will NOT be able to gain Focused, Confident, Happy, Playful and Energized buffs which means you can make them either Inspired or Flirty (Sad sims can't flirt that much but be sure another sim gives them the love they deserve).
Bored Sims will NOT be able to gain Focused, Flirty, Confident, Happy and Energized buffs which means you can make them either Inspired or Playful (They don't want to do much, they just want to have fun, so have them do something creative with their favourite hobby or have fun with other activities or Sims telling jokes at them).
Embarrassed Sims will NOT be able to gain Focused, Flirty, Confident and Happy buffs which means you can make them either Energized, Inspired or Playful. (Some people confront embarrassment with sense of humor, others want to get rid of embarrassment through writing, art etc... others want just to run away and go jog to not think of what just happened).
NOTE: These compatibilities will be written in the mood description where your Sim portrait is, so you always know which emotion you can gain!
Tense, Scared, Uncomfortable and Dazed Sims will NOT be able to gain ALL the positive buffs.

Limited Positivity HARD: Prevents ALL positive buffs from being given to Sims in negative emotions.
NOTE: If Sims have any of the Genius, Cheerful, Romantic, Active, Self-Assured, Goofball or Creative traits they will actually gain those positive buffs in both NORMAL and HARD options no matter the current negative emotion they're feeling!
EX: A Sim is feeling Sad but since they have the Cheerful trait they will also be able to gain Happy buffs!
