Remember the tutorial? The ancient tutorial? The one long gone and so old in the grand scheme of things that no one even knows anymore whether it really happened or it was summoned into existence by the collective imagination of players? Yes, that tutorial. Few relics remain of it. Alex Moyer, bound to walk the world as an immortal NPC with no real purpose now that she can no longer be anyone's tutorial roommate. Stray pieces of a tutorial aspiration, swimming in the endless sea of tuning like long-discarded memories of a bygone era. And of course, what was once the reward for completing that tutorial aspiration, a reward trait so powerful it puts plenty of surviving gameplay traits to shame. It was called Over-Achiever, though now only its buff retains that name.
Not only does it give a x1.5 multiplier to all skill gains, but it boosts CareerBenefit and Career_Performance for many careers by the same degree (x1.25 in the case of the Teen/PartTime careers). It targets them individually to apply that boost...and a lot of careers were not there at all. Not StyleInfluencer, which was patched in later, nor any of the careers added later by packs, despite the fact that the very same trait has since been reused for the Stuck in their Shadow scenario.
And so it is clear, be aware that trait_HighFlyer [197728] is not trait_Highflier [283144], despite them both being labeled "Highflier" in-game. That last one is from the High School Years expansion pack, while this one was originally awarded by Reward_FTUE_Over_Achiever [197721].
This mod does the following:
- Adds references in the trait's buff to the careers that were not directly included in these multipliers, so that it applies equally to them, and not just the ones it originally included, following the trait buff's original pattern
- Unlocks the trait for all ages (because it was only available for Teen,Adult,Baby,Child,Elder,YoungAdult) so now Infants and Toddlers could have it as well. Multipliers apply to both the CareerBenefit (if it has one) and Career_Performance, as was with the careers that were originally included.
- Includes a clone of trait_HighFlyer, renamed back into Over-Achiever with its original description and trait origin restored (as best as memory served), independent from the overriden trait. This cloned trait can be used without having anything to do with the scenario that HighFlyer is bound to nowadays, for those who wish to have a version of the one that has since been lost
Both the overriden and cloned trait hold the overriden same buff, seeing as the updates were necessary in both paths.

If your Sim already had the trait one way or the other: the override will apply, as it will if the trait is obtained after this mod's installation. For all intents and purposes, this version of the trait and buff will be it.
If you wish to apply the cloned trait to a SIm, the command is: traits.trait_equip baniduhaine:trait_FTUE_Over-Achiever.
Alternatively, you can get it at the rewards store for 5000 points, or, use Gauntlet101010's Hidden Aspirations Unlocked mod to get the Trait from the original tutorial aspirations.
Important: Requires Lot51's Core Library.
Compatibility:
This mod is base-game compatible, as the buff merely contains multipliers.
This mod will conflict with any other mod that alters the following XMLs: trait_HighFlyer [197728] and buff_Trait_Aspiration_FTUE_Over_Achiever [197774]
