A companion to my Slower Knitting mod - this mod slows the time it takes to complete cross-stitch projects.
One of the best parts of Cottage Living is the ability to cross stitch. I am a stitcher myself, so every Sims home I have, I get some llamas, and give them all the treats for coloured wool!!!
I don't know why someone would want to cross-stitch faster? It can take me ages to complete things myself, so why shouldn't it be the same in The Sims?
The time coding is a little different to the knitting one, so I referred to a mod to make stitching faster, and made a change before testing.
I am unsure as to whether the number corresponds to sim minutes, or something else - there's only one value, as opposed to a big or small project, which is interesting considering you can stitch something in three different sizes!
For this mod, I have:
- reduced the speed value from 10 to 1, which increases the time it takes to complete a project (I believe this is 10 project minutes per 1 sim minute; now 1 to 1)
In conjunction with this mod, I recommend:
- Using MC Command Centre to make skills more difficult, which will slow progress of level
- Downloading JaneSimsten's functional spinning wheel - you can then use this to spin wool from your animals, to make yarn for knitting, or thread for cross-stitch
- Downloading JaneSimsten's extra cross-stitch patterns - these include some really lovely historical patterns for your sims to stitch!
This mod requires the "Cottage Living" Expansion Pack, but you also need the XML Injector in your mods folder, in order for it to to inject my coding.
I have edited the following coding:
- loot_CrossStitch_CraftingProgress_Gain.xml
Anything else that modifies this may cause a conflict.
