DifficultySocializing allows you to adjust friendship points gained from talking and gifting, it also adds a toggle for friendship decay.
The default is 100(%) which is the vanilla game behavior. setting it to 10 will give you 10% the default value and setting it 1000 will give to 1000% or 10x the default amount,
Adjustments can only be made from the main menu!

How to Configure the "Difficulty Socializing" Mod
Step 1: Install the Mod
- Using Curseforge
Step 2: Access Mod Configuration
- Launch Stardew Valley and go to the main menu.
- Open the Generic Mod Config Menu (GMCM) from the main menu to adjust the mod settings.
Step 3: Configure Settings
Talk Friendship Multiplier:
- Adjusts the percentage of friendship points gained from talking to NPCs.
- Default Value: 100% (same as the base game, i.e., 1x).
- Range: 1% to 1000%.
Setting it to 200% will double (2x) the friendship points gained from talking.
Gift Friendship Multiplier:
- Adjusts the percentage of friendship points gained from gifting NPCs.
- Default Value: 100% (same as the base game, i.e., 1x).
- Range: 1% to 1000%.
- Setting it to 150% will increase the friendship points gained from gifting by 1.5 times (1.5x).
Friendship Decay:
- Enables or disables the decay of friendship points over time.
- Default Value: true (vanilla behavior).
- Toggle it to false
to disable friendship decay.
Step 4: Save Configuration
- After adjusting the settings, save your configuration in the GMCM.
- Restart the game if necessary to apply changes.
Example Configuration Steps
- Set Talk Friendship Multiplier to 200%:
- In the GMCM, find "Talk Friendship Multiplier."
- Enter 200
to set it to 200% (2x).
- Set Gift Friendship Multiplier to 150%:
- In the GMCM, find "Gift Friendship Multiplier."
- Enter 150
to set it to 150% (1.5x).
- Enable Friendship Decay:
- In the GMCM, find "Friendship Decay."
- Toggle it to true
to enable friendship decay.
