This mod replaces Penny's original wedding outfit to incorporate traditional Irish wedding customs and lucky regalia, including:
- A blue wedding dress as a symbol of good luck, prosperity, and purity,
- Celtic cable embroidery on her bodice and skirt for good luck,
- Carrying a lucky horseshoe (turned upwards, of course!) and shamrocks for extra luck
- Braided hair crown for feminine strength and good luck
- Small linen handkerchief for good luck and fertility
- Lavender (and wildflowers) in her hair as symbols of luck, love, and devotion
Penny is a sweet and considerate person with a big heart; she genuinely wants to make things better for herself and those around her. Despite a difficult upbringing and troubled home life, she often goes out of her way to be a positive influence in her community. The Irish are known for being gentle, kind-hearted, resilient people, and thinking about Penny's past and her generous personality, pairing her with an Irish heritage seemed like the perfect fit. (Not to mention her fair skin, flame-red hair, and emerald green eyes--features commonly found in people with Celtic heritage) :)
Many Irish wedding traditions have their roots dating back to ancient Celtic beliefs, especially regarding the Fae (fairies). According to folklore, the Fae were so attracted to beautiful things they would attempt to steal them all for themselves. Because of this, many traditions were created to help protect brides from being swept away during their wedding.
In incorporating fun Irish traditions into her wedding, I think Penny would see her luck changing for the better, and want to express her newfound outlook on life and love to her spouse.

If you want this mod to be compatible with other sprite editing mods, you'll need to either delete Penny's wedding version in those mods or only have this one installed. Having two different mods that change Penny's wedding appearance will not work together and may cause the game to crash.*
