Official release build v0.6.1
Source, Issue and feature request tracking: https://bitbucket.org/vangual/ws-onejob
What is it?
OneJob is a tool to assist raid or party leaders in creating steady sub-group assignments.
This addon allows to define encounters (Bosses, Trashpacks, etc.) and create subgroups with different tasks and assignments. (Useful for interrupt groups, healing assignments, etc.)
Assignments are saved permanently so they're readily available on each raid.
In one of the upcoming versions, it will highlight assigned players that are missing from the current raid. So you can easily assign a different person.
Finally it allows to broadcast the assignments to chat channels.
Note: If you are not leading raids or parties often, this addon is not for you!
How to use it?
Reporting bugs and problems
If you wish to provide bug reports, it is strongly recommended you first install the addon GeminiConsole. Reload the UI with GeminiConsole enabled and then do "/oj debug" to temporarily enable debug output.
This will display debugging output that I need to identify and fix stuff more easily. Finally report the bugs and issues using the bugtracker in bitbucket, see link at the top of this text.
To open the window, use either "/oj", "/onejob", or the Menu button on the left side of the Escape-Menu-Screen.
See the screenshots for a step-by-step guide.
Known issues
Known issues for v0.6.1:
- All of known issues in 0.5.1 still exist.
Known issues for v0.5.2:
- If your groups and assignments are not saving as expected. Make sure to logout instead of using reloadui. Reloads occasionally bug out saving properly at the time of writing this. Engine bug.
- All of known issues in 0.5.1 still exist.
Known issues for v0.5.1:
- Assignments may not show the correct role of players under some circumstances.
- Current raid is not shown sometimes. You can manually force a refresh using the command: "/oj partyrefresh" alternatively kick a peon and reinvite him, just because you're an angry person. :)
- The chat channel used for broadcast is not yet selectable thru a GUI. Currently defaults to /p
- Assignments of people that are not in the current group are not yet highlighted.
If you notice any other bug, please create an issue at the bitbucket link at the top of this page. Thanks!
Planned features list:
- Show missing assignments from current raid
- Allow mass-assignment per-class or per-role
- Share settings to other (backup) leaders
Got an idea for a feature? Please make an enhancement request for it on the Issue tracker on Bitbucket. (See link at the top)
P.S. Despite the name of the addon, you can in fact give one person more than one job. :)
