Ferdinand Porsche build a hybrid engine in the Ferdi battle tanks. Two 12 liter combustion engine run electric generators that powered the drive train. Enormous torque was required to move the 70t vehicles and this solution seemed the best but had many issues as new inventions do.
Porsche has now a hybrid system in the sports car series as well. This skin is a tribute to the inventive mind.
