Missing profession mini list and professions are not being tracked

Hello,

With the BfA release, I updated ATT from 1.5.2b to 1.64. After the update, learned profession recipes are no longer being parsed as collected by ATT. For example, it now shows that I am missing enchanting and tailoring recipes from the Molten Core raid despite have learned them already. In addition, the Profession Mini List does not appear for me, which I suspect is related to the other problem.

For testing, I am doing the following:

  • I am running WoW with only ATT enabled so as to avoid possible addon conflicts.
  • I have enabled the "Show the Profession Mini List Automatically" option.
  • I have opened and closed all profession windows and restarted the entire WoW client.

Also, I wondered if the files/settings from the old ATT version were causing a problem so I removed all ATT related files from WoW's Interface and WTF directories (such as old LUA files) and did a completely clean reinstall of the addon. This did not improve the situation.

So far, I haven't had any success in resolving the problem on my own.

If there is any information that you need from my system in order to verify the cause of the problem, let me know. I am happy to provide any additional details that you think might be helpful.

1.5.2b didn't have recipe tracking in it at the time I believe. While 1.6.4 does and it is disabled in 1.6.4, but if you have 1.6.4a it was re-enabled as I thought it was working after correcting First Aid. Since pushing that release I found out there is another bug that was introduced, but didn't catch it since it was still showing mine as collected. If you grab the current version from here (link below if you just want a .zip file to extract) has professions disabled again until this is resolved.

Up-to-date .zip file (every time we do a push it auto updates): https://github.com/DFortun81/AllTheThings/archive/master.zip

Thanks for the quick response. I went ahead and installed the latest version from the master.zip file that you linked. In that version, I now see the Profession Mini List for a half second before it disappears, whereas before it did not come up at all. I assume that is due to the issue that you described where there is an active bug that is being worked on.

Since you all are already aware of the issue, I will go with this version for now and l will just check back later this week or next week to see if there is a new one with professions working.

Thanks for the great addon. Using ATT for collecting is one of the main things that I do in game these days.

You're very welcome.

The mini list bug you mentioned affects the professions as I mentioned, so you are correct. We are in the process of nailing down what exactly is causing it which I'm sure is related to the divisions of each profession. So we have to figure out how to tackle it so all expansions show up when you open the window itself.
