My bnet account has completed several achievements that are still shown in the lists while account mode is enabled

By 'sync issue' do you mean you have two WoW Accounts on the same BattleNet, and you completed the Achievement on Account 1 while on Account 2 you did not complete it?

Actually looking into it, this should have been fixed in e7980cf
