Describe the bug
Missing Data

image

Should show 4 missing cooking recipes on this character. Not showing anything in the tooltip.

Account mode is disabled.

Data is good on WoWHead.

Look with debug mode it works correctly. So agreed, maybe the data is there... but "account mode" isn't working correctly. I just saw a bunch of recipes on another NPC while I was questing, and I hadn't changed the settings. It showed 2 of the 3 in the tooltip, but it should have shown all three. #1839

Sanity check my expectations, please. (=

When "Account Mode" is off, it should only show what the current toon doesn't know, yeah? (Based on filters.)

I track all recipes -- that's pretty much all I use ATT for in Classic Era. I think "Account Mode" is weird for cooking since all my toons have cooking, just trying to see what recipes I need to buy when I run through a town.

I've been using "Debug Mode" and it's working better for me. "Account Mode" is off, but it's still not showing missing patterns / recipes on the current toon. Would like to know if I can tweak some configuration on my side. I just want to see the recipes that the current toon hasn't learned yet in vendor tooltips. Thanks!

  1. Turn off Account Mode. Otherwise if any of your characters know the recipe, the item will no longer appear in the tooltip.
  2. You can show all BOE recipes with "Ignore Filters for BoE/BoA Items". The downside of this filter is that if your current character doesn't know the recipe, it'll show it as not collected. This includes for professions that your character doesn't have.
  3. Show Collected / Show Completed. This will show recipes even if ATT has deemed you as having it collected.

I do have Account Mode off though... but it doesn't work that way. Even with account mode off, it's not showing things that character is missing.

Hey, so why does this matter...

It's Classic Era, so all my toons have Engineering, and Cooking, and First Aid... so I want to see whenever they are missing a recipe. Cooking has been the easiest one to demo this on, but even with Account Mode off, I'm still seeing tooltips based on if Account Mode is enable.d I think this is a bug.

Try toggling Recipes Account Wide on/off with the list open to see if there's a visual difference.

Oh interesting. When I toggle that on and off, now it seems to work. Before it was "off" but it wasn't really off. I think that fixed my issue, but the fact it was "on" when it was disabled is the bug then I think. (=

Yay, it seems to work now. But yeah, somehow that setting showed off, but was on. Toggling it fixed it. I wouldn't have known to do that until you said to try it. Thanks!
