I might be mistaken but isn't Allthethings addon able to show you on the appearance sets multiple sources of getting quests, vendor, and various items of a transmog set like ATT does normally for items? Had multiple sources on my ui before latest update but now only the base ui shows

We don't have anything hooking into that UI as it is a bit of a pain. However, it does sometimes work based on how Blizzard has it.

So you want to be able to see all the sources an item can be obtained from? Or are you referring to their shared appearances and their locations?

I mean the sources of where you can get the pieces of the armor sets

In the image below go to the 4th tab in the options and select the underlined options
