other items from islands have the box from they come in att example:

It shows it in the tooltip, both Boralus and Dazar'alor but the name of the box became *, weird. I'll need to look into it a bit more.

I think this is due to the Elemental Salvage being too long in Spanish (Material recuperado elemental) that's why it becomes just * in your tooltip. I'm honestly not sure what does this, ATT or WoW itself.

Another contributor says that you see * when something is nil. I have no idea why it can be so, and additionally he checked the same item in Spanish and everything works as expected.

Do you always see tooltip like this? Might be Blizzard's fault idk?
I have checked many items from different boxes and haven't seen this behaviour on any of them.

my game is in MX spanish, both spanish have very low common translations, in my game is "restos elementales" but i find this strange

i use the wowhead link of the item to see the item in my druid and show the sources fine

but log again the priest having the staff and change to * again

Another contributor said that they see this behaviour sometimes and it resolves to showing proper name sometimes. It seems like it's Blizzard not giving data in time so we can't do anything with it (as far as I understand).
