With Auctipus loaded, I am getting errors from other AH addons like Auctioneer, Auctionator, etc.

I suggest that Auctipus check for the existence of incompatible addons and print a warning message that they should be disabled.

Is it normal to run with multiple AH addons at once? I think Auctionator appends to the default Blizzard UI which Auctipus completely replaces so it wouldn't ever show up if you ran them together anyways. I'll look into the sorts of error messages that are popping up and see if anything can be done though.

Although, if you have multiple AH addons enabled simultaneously, I don't think it is clear which one the user actually wants to have enabled? Like, I know it's hard to believe but Auctipus might not be the one they actually want to be using! :P

So maybe Auctipus should just print an error message and disable itself if it sees any competition.

I run with both Auctioneer and Auctionator enabled and scan the AH with both. Skillet-Classic will query both and I can compare the output. I used to run BootyBayGazette (TheUndermineJournal for Classic, which I still run on retail) which gave me a third data point. All the other AH addons I've tried in the past added to the existing AH interface, they didn't replace it. The list of tabs at the bottom of the frame sometimes got a little long, but I dealt with that.

To test the Auctipus plugin, I disabled Auctioneer but kept Auctionator enabled. Although I can't do anything AH related with Auctionator, its database still let me compare Auctipus and Auctionator data with Skillet-Classic.

I don't think you should disable Auctipus when you see competition, but let the user know that they don't work together and let them decide what to do.

TradeSkillMaster is another one that will probably not be happy with Auctipus. The TSM developers weren't very cooperative when Skillet and Skillet-Classic clashed with them but I was able to work around the issues that came up.

One thought that I had was that maybe you can have an enable/disable command for Auctipus. I haven't played with it enough to determine if I would replace all of my other AH addons. I do, however, like how Auctionator and Skillet-Classic play together.
