Describe the bug
The minimap will disappear from view.
Seems to occur when interacting with certain objects or NPCs. Recent example is the Headless Horseman encounter.
Need to /reload to make it appear again.
Appears to be a conflict with Immersion that was not a problem until recently.
To reproduce
Click the pumpkin to start the Headless Horseman encounter.
Unselecting "Hide minimap" in Immersion settings seems to resolve the issue.
Expected behavior
Minimap does not disappear.
Ability to hide minimap when using Immersion. Was able to do so until recently.
Screenshots
Additional context
Can hide the entire UI with Narcissus without a problem.
I haven't been able to replicate the problem other than the Headless Horseman encounter, though I am sure I have seen it occur before the event began. I will keep checking to see if I can find another cause for it.
As a side note, thanks for the latest update that addresses unit frame visibility in Immersion. I wasn't sure if it was intentional so I didn't report it as a bug.
Is there any NPCs outdoors that does not require traveling into an instance where I can test this? Because it's working fine with all the NPCs I've talked to so far. Minimap reappears.
Also, do you have a keybind to toggle the Minimap? Does it reappear when clicked?
It was intentional, as there are elements in those frames that refuse to fade along with its parents. I always intended to "fix it later", though, and figured it was time since I was working on Immersion compatibility anyway now. I ran out of excuses! :D
I managed to replicate this on the quest "Another Ambush" (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=65869/another-ambush) in the Azure Span story when you examine the bodies and in "The Fog of Battle" (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=66246/the-fog-of-battle) in the Thaldraszus story, again it seems to be when examining the bodies.
Hope this helps.
