BossHealth

BossHealth

11.2k Downloads

This addon shows the health of the bosses you have encountered (including the current fight). It is mainly intended as an addition to any boss mod that lacks of such a display (like BigWigs) but might be useful even in combination with full-featured mods (like DBM) due to its feature to keep track of the past fights to compare their outcome.

Description

It opens a small window that lists all the mobs recognized as bosses with which you or your party/raid is/was in fight. Their current health is shown both as a bar and as text (in percent) on that bar, along with the name of the boss and the time the fight took so far. Not only the current encounter is shown, but also the past fights are listed. For bosses which de-spawn at a failing attempt to kill them, each new reincarnation of that mob gets a new line in the list, so you can compare all recent tries concerning the health at the time your party/raid wiped and the duration of the fight.

Usage

Upon startup, BossHealth opens its window, showing only the line "BossHealth" in it. Its lacking any window decorations (such as a title bar) for minimum screen area consumption. You can drag it around with the left mouse button to find a suitable position for it. Once you enter the first Boss fight, the "dummy" line will be replaced with the health information for that boss. Any following bosses (more bosses in the current encounter, bosses in following encounters or new reincarnations of that boss after a wipe) will get a new row. New rows be listed above the former ones, moving the old rows down.

It only works for bosses hard coded into the addon, therefore you will need an up-to-date version whenever new instances are implemented into WoW.

Known issues, missing features

  • The window is currently not resizable.
  • The window misses a vertical scroll bar to see older encounters.
  • It looks a bit ... minimalistic. :-D
