Pagination allows good performance even if you have hundreds of items in your inbox. With searching you can also easily look for specific items.

This shows up sorting by sender, as well as marking mails for opening specific items.
BMI_Search.png
You can now search your inbox items using the name of the item. Useful if you're looking for a specific item amongst many.
BMI_ReverseNameSorting.png
This is sorted by alphabetically by name, but reversed. Also shows up a really long dialog.
