A lot of us who customize our UIs don't like buttons to clutter up the minimap. Almost all addons these days give an option to disable the minimap icon. Since there's no a data broker component, can you please add this feature?

Will do! Data broker is in the works and I'll be working on adding more options to hide/show information including the mini-map icon. Adding it to enhancement list and for V0.0.8 milestone. Also adding it to future enhancements list on description in wiki and curse page.
