What This Does
Includes a ton of Weakauras I've created and then combined with my drawings to make a first-person WoW experience.
Think of it like fighting with weapons made as cardboard cut-outs, similar to how the old DOOM games (or Void Bastards) use 2D sprites.
Works great for adding immersion when taking the game slow, and perfect for levelling with on a new character as it's polished for spells 1-20.
(Any new spells can easily be added by duplicating a Weakaura that has an image/animation you like, and changing the trigger to the new spell.)
But don't just take my word for it, here's what others had to say:
"12/10" - ign
"Why am I so dizzy?" - me
"0/10 wouldn't recommend for raiding" - also me
"It just works" - Todd Howard 2001
Works On
Mage - All Specs (Spell-Sword Theme)
(Will work with any race/gender, but better with human males, as the images/weakauras are aligned to the areas of the screen where Blizzard's animated their spells).
Upcoming
Hunter - Marksmanship Spec (Bounty Hunter Theme, Futuristic Theme, and Apocalyptic Theme).
Tons of mounts!
Installation
Making a spot for the first-person images to go:
1. Create a new folder inside your WoW Interface folder and name it "My Custom Textures" (not inside the Addons folder, but alongside it).
2. Copy the downloaded .tga files and paste them into the "My Custom Textures" folder.
Importing them to the Weakauras mod:
1. While in-game, open Weakauras and click "Import" at the top.
2. Copy the text inside the downloaded .txt document and paste it into the Weakauras "Import" section, then click "Done".
3. Relaunch WoW and voila!
