This addOn offers an easy comparison between gear, by adding a tooltip to all gear with a color coded iLvl and a show of total stats on the item. The color is calculated from the players currently equipped gear.
There is also a dress window with all iLvls and stats shown.
I have also made a TitanPanel plugin that shows the players currently equipped gear.
