Main Spec on Guildwindow not reflecting current spec

Hi,

Im guildmaster and asked guildies to install Guildbook, and we could see on the new bigger Guild Window the column "Main Spec" and even the professions.

Today a guildie told he respecdd from Restoration (shaman) into Dps (either Elemental or Enchancement), but Guild window column still showing "Restoration", instead of showing "Elemental" or "Enhancement".

Is the Main Spec supposed to be automatic refresh, do does it need some manual clicks ?

FYI: I tried opened Roster, clicked guildie chars and clicked Reset, but still mains spec remain old one. As side-effect 2 other guildies now got their mains spec and professions cleared out.

I really would like to use this addon for guild management, but i keep bouncing into basic foundational problems that will make this addon unusable as will be hard to keep explaining workarounds to each new problem each new guildie encounters.
If addon not rock solid then guildies will not use it.. and im already started finding resistence.

So, look forward to understand the "Main Spec changed/refresh" issue solution.

Thanks.
Budha

The addon will assign whichever spec has the most points if a spec has not been set, after that it requires a manual change in the profile section.
i will however take a look at what events i can listen to for these situations.

Well i've found an event, my issue now is making sure its not going to spam the chat comms channels. If you click to view the persons profile do you get the updated spec?

RESPET BROADAST: Can addon detect talents change finished (number of free talents points to assign = zero) and then broadcast main spec to other guildies using guildbook ?
Whats best place for me to request this enhancement, as im having hardtime having guildies to adhere to using Guildbook, since it needs too much manual a actions for them to syn up thing, namely: recipes and mainspec.

The addon will check what points have been spent in which tree and where a guild member HASN'T set a spec, the addon will take a guess based on which tree has most points.

However, as with classic, TBC doesnt have a strict class>spec system (unlike retail). There are specs that dont fit points per tree and so character spec has been left as a player option. Personally opening your profile and selecting from a dropdown isnt a taxing requirement (as spec doesnt change often)

I could add a check box and option to ONLY use the spec which has the most points.

When/if we get a classic wrath then its much easier to say the tree with most points is going to be the characters spec.

Warcraft logs (iirc) has recently added new specs such as shaman tank (warden) and a couple warrior options i think.

Also, as a player levels up they may show with an incorrect spec if say a priest takes wand spec but then goes into shadow.

Its a tricky area tbh.

Recipes will sync over time as players open their profession windows, there is the option to share a 'snapshot' of your db via the import/export interface.

does everyone have the latest version?

i am going to have to try and replicate this issue as its not something ive seen before.

have you tried to set/change specs with the debug window open to see if any comms happen?

i am working on adding an option to let the addon set your main spec, but if you're saying no comms come through then there is a different cause for your issues.

its an app/program called ScreenToGif, then just drag and drop the image file here, probably has a size limit though
