TL;DR
Use /pickpocket on other players no matter what class you are!
Basic guide for usage:
Start by doing a /ppcache or /pickpocketcache to get the WoW client to call up the list of items you can pickpocket, if you skip this step you run the possibility of having the pickpocket's fail the first time a new item is pickpocketed. It will print item ID's to the chat window in red if it's not cached, if you see any red please run /ppcache again in around 10 seconds. Twice is all I've ever had to do to confirm everything is cached by the WoW client.
Once the /ppcache is confirmed target another player and do /pickpocket or /pp and enjoy :)
