Level 49 monitors your character level and reminds you to turn off experience gain.
This will allow you to continue questing without leveling out of BfA & Chromie content.
You can choose to have it remind you anywhere from levels 39 to 50. Once you "Ding" to your first chosen level, you will receive a dialog box reminding you to turn of experience gain.
The dialog box will not close by pressing ESC, you have to click Okay.
It will also display a dialog box when you load into a character, a loading screen displays, or when you enter combat. This helps prevent forgetting and then accidentally leveling. Displaying a reminder message when entering combat can be disabled in the options, as well as its level threshold adjusted.
Once you have turned off experience gain in game, you will need to go into the Level 49 options and disable reminder messages.
To keep your character from leveling higher for any reason, follow these steps:
For the Horde faction:
1. Go to the Hall of the Brave, Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.
2. Look for and talk to Slahtz <Experience Eliminator>.[74.2, 44.6]
3. For 10g he will put a hold on all experience points earned. You can enable your experience again by seeing Slahtz and paying another 10g.
For the Alliance faction:
1. Go to the War Room, Stormwind Keep in Stormwind City.
2. Look for and talk to Behsten <Experience Eliminator>.[87.6, 36]
3. For 10g he will put a hold on all experience points earned. You can enable your experience again by seeing Behsten and paying another 10g.
