The default Mechanostrider sound loop is annoying. Who wants to pilot a mount that sounds like two electric can openers fighting in a washing machine? This mod replaces the default MechaStriderLoop.ogg sound effect with the pleasant sound of a throaty muscle car idling (sound sourced from a 1985 Ford Mustang with minor edits to make it more acoustically pleasing).
Installation Instructions
This addon MUST be installed manually! Installing it via the Twitch app will not work!
· Quit WoW Classic if it's running
· Download the addon
· Unzip
· Move the "Sound" folder into your "_classic" directory (this is usually located in C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_classic_)
That's it! Next time you mount up you should hear the new sound. If you're curious, Blizzard has explicitly stated that this sort of sound replacement is allowed.
