Miv is a guild leader mod used by Kali Compton (Kalecgos) for enforcing guild chat rules prohibiting the use of "leet speak". Regular expression matching is performed on all comments made in guild chat against a list of "banned" words stored within the mod. A member who violates the chat rules immediately has their guild rank changed to "Miv" (named for a former member with especially poor chat habits) which does not have permission to speak in guild chat. These rank changes are, of course, temporary and manually corrected at a later time.
Miv uses a simple master-election implementation so that many guild leaders can run simultaneously be running the mod, but only a single person will actually perform the rank change.
/miv <player> can also be used to immediately change player's rank to Miv.
