Angle Brackets around words do not make them Green one one of my machines

Describe the bug
I cant seem to get angled brackets to colorize text properly on one of my machines. On one of my machines this works fine and as intended. But on another with all the same addons and same settings in prat that i can tell, it doesnt work.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Type <
  2. then type anything you like such as a guild's name
  3. type >
  4. On the machine it fails to work all it is is just the text with angle brackets and no color applied. this is also true of other people's posts doing the same thing.

Expected behavior
Using the Angle Brackets ought to colorize the text within them to green, like an item in the game appears as green. This is usually used to make a guild name in an advert to appear as green so it stands out compared to the rest of the advert's text. Or to have some fun and imitate linking of an item in chat with something made up, confusing the person that attempts to click on it or hover on it for a tooltip to try and learn more.

Addons you are running
If possible list which addons you were using when the bug occurred.
too many to list. but both machines have identical addons and as far as i can find identical settings for both sets of addons. But one machine operates fine and colorizes but the other does not.

Is there a setting Im unaware of that affects this? A module i should or shouldnt have loaded?

I think i found the solution, highlight module wasnt enabled. works fine now. I do wish the hover over tooltip in the module options actually informed of what each module does. they all just say to load to see the description, but they all say that even when loaded and lack any descriptions.
