First version of my very first publicly available addon. Does macro length limitation bother you? Got tired of 255-char forced script simplification that won't allow you to filter and choose your extensive mount collection in any way? If so, this little addon might come in handy. It's relatively simple and lightweight, and it does no actions in the background, so it shouldn't be hard on the CPU or memory at all.
Features
- allows you to use a random ground or flying mount with a single command
- recognizes if current zone allows you to fly and automatically chooses the proper mount type
- automatically switches to land mount if the flying one can't be used for some reason (ongoing Wintergrasp battle, character under water etc.)
- allows you to filter used mounts by specific keywords (separate for flying and land mounts)
Usage
- options can be set in the GUI panel - available through /rm command or Interface/Addon options
- keywords are separate for every character and for both types of mounts (land and flying); they work as OR operator, which means that "Wolf, Raptor" will allow you to mount either a random Wolf or a random Raptor; particular filter words should be separated by comma, ie. "Proto-Drake, Machine", "Wolf, Raptor, Kodo" or "Black, Blue, Purple"
- /rm help - shows a brief manual for possible commands
- /rm quick - mounts the "best" available mount; will use land mounts in Azeroth, flying ones in Outland and Northrend if possible or will automatically switch to a land one if a flyer can't be used
- /rm flying - attempts to use a flying mount if possible; if not, it will switch to a land one instead
- /rm ground - summons a land mount
