Use the /sid command in chat to open the menu. The process and menu should be relatively self explanatory.
Upon hitting reset (warning: your game will freeze for a bit here, as we're muting 3 million sounds and unmuting another 3 million), the tool will selectively mute one half of the sounds the game has. Your job is to then try to recreate the sound, and press either Yes or No, corresponding to whether the sound is still being heard in game.
Please note that if you mess up and select the wrong option for whatever reason (let's say the sound isn't always heard and you press No on accident), you have to reset and do the process over again.
You will know you're on the right track if the tool alternates between muting your target sound and not muting it. That means it's still zeroing in on it.
