What is it?
StepTracker tracks your steps* and the distance you've traveled across the game per character, per level.
This was my first venture into WoW Addon's and Lua. It's pretty simple, (hopefully) light and - despite some messy coding - working as intended.
* steps were estimated by studying the standard run speed animation.
Is it accurate?
In essence, yes. Sort of. It's accurate based on figures from WoW sites that indicate run speed to be 7 yards per sec. All other figures (except steps) are based off this information.
So, yes. Characters in WoW do run at approximately 14MPH (that's fit!).
Just why?
- Challenge yourself or your friends to reach level 60 with the lowest travel distance / steps taken.
- Commit to getting up and walking the same amount of steps you've taken in-game today.
- Add another not-so-prettified Addon to your UI!
