Since the changes to the chatbox in 8.3 losing focus on any click, it is impossible to add a chat link to an empty message, as the chatbox loses focus when clicking on whether the link should be importable or not. If there is even one character in the message already, the link gets added without issue. It should be investigated how the behaviour can be fixed.
