Wildcard Tools
Wildcard Tools aims to fill holes I saw in the functionality of the wow addon-space. As I find new features I would like to see out of addons, I may develop more modules for this one.
Modules
Personal Loot Tracker
Tracks loot dropped on personal loot for current raids. If loot is tradeable, it will show that in the addon. Loot council module allows you to give personal loot to whoever needs it most. With this module, BFA doesn't have to turn loot council into the pain you thought it would.
Important: players with fast loot addons must disable those addons and instead use the fast loot included in WCT (in the settings), otherwise loot will not be properly tracked.
Controls:
Shift-click boss icon to delete individual boss entries.
Left click on a boss icon in the loot tracker tab to select it for the loot council tab.
Shift-right click loot icons in the loot council tab if you are the raid leader to start a loot council for those items.
Requires everyone in the raid to have the addon.
WeakAuras Versioning Manager
Tracks all top-level (meaning not inside a group) auras with metadata (explained below), showing who in your raid has them, what versions they have, and if you need to update your version. Also stores URLs for auras to you can easily update them.
Controls:
Left Click the refresh symbol to update all data about an aura's versioning in the raid.
Right Click the refresh symbol to update all data for all auras in that category.
If you update an aura and someone in your raid doesn't have it, they will get a temporary entry in the aura tab with a link to download that WeakAura. It goes away on reload. This is a nice way to share auras with your raid group if not everyone is on the same realm, or if the aura is too large. It also happens automatically when checking to see if everyone has an aura.
Aura Metadata:
This addon uses metadata you can encode onto the auras themselves. This means that after encoding metadata onto an aura, you can share it online or in game and it will keep the metadata you assign to it. The metadata consists of: a universal ID (UID), a version number, a URL for download (optional), a category name, and, if you so choose, an aura ownership battletag. There is also a field for protecting the metadata, meaning no one can change its metadata but the owner.
If you wish to add metadata to an aura, you can do so under the options tab. Users have complete control over what version they want auras to be. It doesn't automatically go up whenever you update metadata or upload to Wago, so make sure to increment it yourself as desired. Finally, always remember to add or update metadata before you upload the string somewhere.
