Wish you could auto-respond and auto-ignore players who hurl insults your way? This is exactly what WoW Detox was built for.
What it does
WoW Detox will scan your direct whispers for common insults through simple phrase matching and word triggers. When it finds toxic behavior, it will immediately respond to the offending player with this message:
"Hello <Player-Realm>! We are sorry you are having some personal issues in your life, and feel the need to lash out. We hope you feel better, and wish you luck on becoming a better human being!"
And will add the player to your ignore list. Here is a screenshot of it in action:
Version 1.0 Notes
- - WoW Detox will only activate on direct whispers.
- - WoW Detox will not purge the message from your chat log, so you are able to see what triggered it.
- - WoW Detox is in version 1.0, but there will be subsequent versions and feature additions if people like it.
Inspiration
If you've ever played Blizzard's Overwatch, you may have noticed a chat filter which replaces toxic chat entries. Overwatch's chat filter was the inspiration for this addon.
