I just completed the Silverpine forest quest line (horde side), when completing the quest "Cities to Dust", wow hang. I need to kill the process and reload wow.

Worse yet, progress for the guide for silverpine forest gets reset. Unfortunately, I can't provide any stack trace, since the game freezes.

I've repeated the bug twice in a row. (1st time by quest completition, second, simply by checking the quest complete check box in the frame)

This seems to occur when attempting to load a new guide that is "nil". I've had a similar bug reported before. Will fix ASAP, thanks for the report!
