The text for step 135 (QID 25600) for Mount Hyjal (Cataclysm) states that the player should use the runes on the ground to kill the elite, Forgemaster Pyrendius. That is no longer necessary and the elite can be killed as any other mob. He is elite, so squishy characters must be somewhat careful, but his hit points are much lower. The runes may help, but they shouldn't be relied upon as they do very little damage now.
