Most of the guides have a goto zone request at the start of it - it would be worth doing a check when the new guide is loaded to see if they are already in the zone - as you have to manually complete the step if you are just loading the next guide.

Low priority - just a nice to have.

No, this is a good point - on guide load it definitely needs to run this check or that step won't auto-complete until they change zones again. I'm relabeling this as a bug so it gets more attention, and I'll fix it in the next patch (should be easy).
