It shows you how much physical and magic damage you can take. Based on current health, absorbs, and defensive cooldowns from yourself and others.
It has options to change how it looks, including the ability to show the current damage reduction instead of effective health. Check the custom options tab in-game to customize it.

It is not accurate in pvp.
A weakaura like this will always need regular updates, so make sure to check in every now and then.
Since I am no longer playing the game, fixes to issues that come up will not be released as quickly as it used to. Therefore, please contact me if something does not work as intended.
Your armor and stagger is based on the level of your opponent. If you see it change when switching targets, that's why.
In mythic+ it will show you how much percent health you will have left after getting hit by specific abilities.
The incoming damage is not always fixed and may vary by a few percentages, so keep that in mind.
For the Dampen Harm's effect on the effective health number, it is assumed to be a 20% damage reduction. However, for the remaining health prediction it should be calculated correctly.

v2.16 - The cheat death effect of Guardian Spirit and Ardent Defender now counts as effective health by default. Added some options and clearified a few descriptions. Adjusted the Will of the Necropolis talent according to the 8.1 changes. Plus some more performance improvements.

v2.14 - Greatly improved performance by updating on specific events, instead of updating on every frame. It is now using the new Weakauras feature to make some custom options simple and safe to change. Added predictions for some mythic+ abilities, more to come in the future.
