[1.18.2] drawn region chiseling out the wrong bits

I wanted to make a miniature version of a train I built and used Chisel And Bits for that.
But a lot of the time when I want to chisel out bits using the drawn region tool, it chisels out the wrong bits entirely.
I don't know what triggers it chiseling out the wrong bits, but when it happens once, I undo it, and I try chiseling out the same bits again it also happens again, so that is consistent.
About 75% of the time I am allowed to undo it, but the other 25% of the time I am not and I have to re-place the bits manually.
This only chisels out a small row of wrong bits most of the time (as you'll see in the short video below) but one time I wanted to chisel out a small region and it deleted about 20% of the entire thing I was making. And I was not allowed to undo that.
Needless to say that really annoyed me.
The specific block I'm trying to chisel out or the specific bit or chisel I'm holding does not seem to change whether it happens or not.
I am on a server. This is a server which I host myself, is not overloaded, and is on the same local network as my computer with a strong connection.
I'm using Forge and C&B version 1.2.116, so the latest for 1.18.2 right now.
Here's a short video showing the issue happening (I'm trying to get rid of some glass bits so you can't really see them but the outline shows where they are): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJeqQqUXbkA
