game freezes randomly to the point it can't come back.

I am playing on a big modpack called the barbecue and it has chisels and bits. Whenever I use the mod, the game randomly freezes and doesn't come back so I just have to force close it. Is there a possibility it isn't compatible with a specific mod or is there something wrong with the mod?
I'm also having this issue. It's really frustrating. I lose progress when I have to force close and its super aggravating. Hopefully someone has answers.
