Now fully compatible with Better Combat!
Welcome to Soulslike Weaponry, a mod that started with me wondering how fun it would be to add the Moonlight Greatsword to Minecraft, which turned out to be a bigger project than I anticipated.
Right now, the mod adds 18 unique legendary weapons, 4 new firearms, 4 bosses, one new ore and more!
The weapons come from many different places, some from movies, others from the imagination, but mostly from other game titles such as League of Legends or the Dark Souls/Bloodborne franchise. When you kill bosses in Minecraft, they will now drop a Lord Soul item, which you can use to craft the more powerful weapons, while other weapons, such as the Hunter Blunderbuss for example, only requires items such as iron.
Thanks to ilyaxin, radical233 and thepoweroflittlh for Russian and Chinese translation of the mod.
The following list is up to date with the newest version (0.9.7), some features may not be present in older versions of the mod. Keep in mind that you can always edit the damage, boss health, recipes or other mechanics in the config if you desire.
Bosses
The Decaying King
Once a powerfull ruler who attempted to make order in the chaos lands that is The Nether, was cursed by what he thought was his allies. His kingdom was sieged and fell under the lava sea, and the King could only watch helplessly while his mind and body was slowly withering away.
The Decaying King spawns in the remnants of the Decaying Kingdom in the nether. This cursed monstrosity wields The Darkin Blade, and has many deadly attacks to look out for. Killing it makes it drop the Darkin Blade, a Lord Soul and the Withered Demon Heart.
Attacks:
- Sword Slam: The Decaying King quickly charges up his blade and slams it into the ground, dealing damage to all targets where the last target stood. This is one of his main close range attacks, and will do this quite frequently.
- Fire Barrage: The Decaying King charges up, then unleashes a mass of fire balls at the target from it's mouth.
- Detonation: The Decaying King folds his arms together, charging up for an explosion around him, knocking away and damaging all nearby mobs.
- Spin: The Decaying King spins his arms around, knocking away anything in it's path far away. Be careful not to get hit into the lava!
- Pull: The Decaying King pulls the target into him from afar, a setup for his next attack.
The Old Champion's Remains
A boss spawning in the Old Champion's Graves, this skeleton figure has been possessed by another being, namely The Frenzied Shade. The Old Champion will go in a defensive state behind his shield after a period of time or if the target wields a ranged weapon, like a bow. When in the defensive state, he is slower, but will take reduced damage from all sources. Additionally, his range has increased and he will use one of two attacks against you: The Shield Bash or The Sword Thrust. If you manage to lure him under the open sky, he will be slowed and weakened. When reaching half health, the Old Champion will stagger, and rise again stronger than before, no longer gaining negative effects under the open sky, and instead gaining Speed and Strength and will be doing more damage on Sword thrust and Shield Bash. After killing the Old Champion, it will drop the Draugr sword, and the Frenzied Shade will spawn. This creature is the one possessing the Lord Soul, so make sure to stay alert when killing the Old Champion!
Attacks:
Shield Bash: The Old Champion will slam his shield at his foe, not dealing much damage, but knocking it back far away.
Sword Thrust: The Old Champion will thrust his trusty sword Draugr at the target with increased range, dealing high damage.
Frenzied Shade
The Frenzied Shade is a cursed and powerful soul, banished from it's former body, who mistakenly possessed the Old Champion. It has a simple, but hard hitting moveset nonetheless. It can fly and phases through walls to it's target at high speed, attacking very quickly, and can back off just as quickly after attacking. Killing it will make it drop it's Lord Soul and the Essence of Eventide.
The Returning Knight
Once a respected champion of moonlight, turned to a darker power when he threw away his legendary blade, The Moonlight Greatsword. He coated himself in dark runes, making him both impenetrable and reflect any projectile away from his armor, but in doing so, his body and armor merged and his soul was rejected, turning into a dark, twisted creature, a mere husk of raw power, roaming the lands. His armor is now a prison for it's remaining forces of moonlight, a puppet being controlled by the dark power of the underworld the owner coated it with, and now, this behemoth wields the great mace Nightfall.
The Returning Knight is a slow, but hard hitting boss with a few attacks up his sleave. First of all, all projectiles around him will have no effect on him, and will rather be reflected back in the direction they came from, so be careful with that Hunter Cannon! At half health, he will use his last forces of moonlight to be Unbreakable, slamming his arm on his chest, gaining Resistance. After killing The Returning Knight, he will drop moonstone, Nightfall, a Lord Soul and the Arkenstone.
Attacks:
- Children of the Grave: The Returning Knight slams his mace Nightfall into the ground, summoning a random amount of Remnants and Dark Sorcerers.
- Obliterate: The Returning Knight charges up Nightfall over two seconds, then slams it into the ground on the targets last position when he started charging, dealing massive damage and knocking up all targets hit. This attack takes a while for him to charge up ,so you have plenty of time to evade it. If not, then prepare for ridiculous amounts of damage, even with full protection 4 netherite armor!
- Blinding Light: The Returning Knight quickly sweeps his left arm on the target, Blinding, Slowing and knocking it back if it hits.
- Eruption: The Returning Knight prepares for an attack that affects all mobs around, slamming his mace Nightfall in the ground three times. The two first are a sign of warning, but the third he will use more force on, smashing Nightfall into the ground causing huge eruptions on all targets around him, even his own minions, dealing damage and knocking them up high in the air.
Monarch of Chaos
The Monarch of Chaos is a powerful mage wielding the accursed wand, the Withered Wabbajack. Additionally, it wears both the Crown of Chaos and the Cape of Chaos, two items that that will be dropped upon it's death with the Withered Wabbajack. It can be summoned by using the Shard of Uncertainty (which is dropped by the Wither) on the Blackstone Pedestal block. The Monarch of Chaos is a fast attacking and chaotic boss, hence it's name, having it's attack cooldown reduced lower and lower based on it's missing health. Thanks to the Cape of Chaos, it turns all Grass Blocks around it into Withered Grass Blocks, which will continuously inflict the Decay status effect on all entities standing on them. On non-player entities, they will also take high Wither damage, while players will have their armor quickly deteriorate and fall apart, meanwhile thanks to the Crown of Chaos, the boss itself will heal small amounts on this zone. Only Grass Blocks will be turned into Withered Grass Blocks. Now, onto it's chaotic move-set:
- Cripple: The Monarch of Chaos will swing it's staff left to right, then thrust it's staff forward, with a following smash attack right after. It will deal more and more damage with each combo, while having the hitbox reduced in size.
- Chaos Skulls: The Monarch of Chaos swipes it's staff in the air, shooting continuous Chaos Skulls at the target. These skulls function just like the Withered Wabbajack's own projectile. They will have random amounts of chance to inflict random effects on the target, while dealing random damage, while also having random chances to spawn either explosions, entities, lightning bolts... you get the picture.
- Lightning Call: The Monarch swirls it's staff in the air, then summons lightning bolts around itself, spreading outward three times.
- Barrage: The Monarch points it's staff on to the target, shooting either lots of random projectiles, ranging from tridents, arrows, moonlight beams to even eggs or snowballs, or it will shoot a barrage of the same projectile, which include everything from experience bottles, arrows to a barrage of seeking shulker projectiles.
- Teleportation or Obliteration: The Monarch will channel it's wand, summoning portal particles in a circle around itself, then smashing the ground to either teleport away to a new location, or summon a massive soul explosion that will damage all targets too close.
Mobs
Withered Demon
The Withered Demon, is a slow, but hard hitting creature, with every attack knocking up the target, just like an iron golem. The attack is dodgeable, as he needs to charge up his hit. It is a mere mindless hollow, compared to it's former glory days, it only knows hatred for the unknown, and the Withers in particular. It spawns naturally in the crimson forrest in the nether. Killing it will make it drop the demon heart, an item that can eventually be crafted into the Bloodthirster with enough ingredients.
Remnants
Remnants are lost souls of the underworld, spawning with random equipment of Soul Ingot Armor and the Translucent Weapons Set. These mobs will spawn as an Evil version from The Returning Knight, only attacking players. They can also be randomly summoned by Nightfall if a player kills an undead with it. It will then be the players guardian, seeking out other mobs and protecting the player. Killing it will make it drop some of it's equipment and some Soul Ingots.
Dark Sorcerer
The Dark Sorcerer were once great healing priests that were turned and twisted by the darker power. They can only be summoned by The Returning Knight, spawning with the full Soul Robes armor set. They will do anything in their power to heal the great Returning Knight, but if the boss is not present, they will relentlessly attack the player with their beam of magic, dealing damage each second. Killing them will sometimes make them drop their equipment and some Lost Souls.
Moderately Sized Chungus
Intended to be a joke creature, these fierce beings spawn in the forrest at night. Do not be tricked by their appearance, as they move and attack ridiculously fast. Killing them makes them drop Chungus Emeralds, which can be crafted into a music disc.
Familiar Ghost
The Familiar Ghost can be summoned with 3 soul charges with the Soul Reaper weapon and will protect it's master, just like the Remnant. It's former life still haunts the creature. It even looks familiar to you... how long ago did you harvest a soul to summon this creature?
Forlorn
The Forlorn are forgotten elite soldiers, summoned to do you bidding with the Soul Reaper when you have at least 10 soul charges. It will either wield the Heap of Raw Iron or The Forlorn Scythe, a weapon that can only be acquired by killing them. They will also spawn equipped with the Forlorn armor set, a set with equal power to diamond armor. This armor set can also only be acquired by looting them. Hostile Forlorn may spawn in the Soul Sand Valley biome in the nether.
Soulmass
The Soulmass is a creature made of clumped together souls beyond recognition. It can be summoned by the Soul Reaper with at least 30 soul charges, and will protect the owner by using different spells.
Attacks:
- Drain: The Soulmass lasers a target with a soul beam, dealing damage and healing itself in the process.
- Jaws: The Soulmass claps his hands together, summoning Evoker fangs.
- Division: It slams the ground, releasing a portion of itself to summon 4 Familiar Ghosts to help fighting.
- Last Resort: When killed, the Soulmass will gather all it's remaining strength and energy to unleash a devastating blast that damages, slows and weakens all hostile mobs in it's chunk.

Leviathan Axe
From the God of War series, this axe is crafted with Verglas, an ore only found in mountain biomes, just like emeralds. It freezes enemies post hit with a new status effect called Permafrost. It freezes entities as if they were stuck in powdered snow, but when entities affected by Permafrost die, they explode in an ice explosion that freezes and damages all entities close to the explosion. The axe can also be thrown, detonating in a similar explosion where it lands. The axe is not consumed when thrown, only put on cooldown based on the sharpness level it has.

Beware and try not get the Instant Damage status effects that lasts for 2 minutes... you'll die instantly... just as a warning. Retribution
Determines if the Dawnbreaker explosion should detonate or not based on the effect level. Each hit with the Dawnbreaker will apply this effect to undead.
Decay
This effect continuously damages the armor the player is wearing while also increasing all damage taken by 20% for each effect level. On non-player entities, it will continuously damage them, just like the Wither effect.
Fear
This effect is applied to undead when the Dawnbreaker explosion triggers. It relocates their pathing and confuses them, while having no current effect on players.
Magic Resistance
Reduces magic damage by 20% per level. Magic damage ranges from splash potions of Instant Damage, or for example Evoker fangs.
Purified Mist
Any mob that is not a player will continually take damage, while players will be healed instead.
Posture Break
Mobs affected by this are Slowed insanely, and are open for an attack. When hit, the mob takes bonus instant damage and then the effect is removed.
