Ranged Wireless Redstone

Forge mod for Minecraft that adds redstone transmitters and recievers allowing redstone signals to be transmitted wirelessly over a limited (configurable) distance.

Tiny Redstone Support

When Tiny Redstone is also installed, this mod adds tiny redstone transmitters and receivers with a smaller range which can be placed on Tiny Redstone panels as part of tiny redstone circuits.

The Range

By default, Wireless Redstone Transmitters will send their signal up to 256 blocks (configurable). Tiny Wireless Transmitters will send up to 64 blocks (also configurable). Any receivers within range of a transmitter will pick up its signal if they are both on the same channel (see Channels below). If there are multiple transmitters within range, on the same channel, the receiver will pick up the highest redstone signal.

The ranges of the transmitter and tiny transmitter can be changed in the server config file to just about any distance you want. The only limitation is that it will not send signals inter-dimensionally.

Channels

Receivers will only pick up signals from transmitters on the same channel and within range. When a transmitter or receiver are placed, they are on channel 0. Right click to open a GUI that allows you to change the channel to any number you want it to be. The number of possible channels is virtually unlimited.

Network Viewer

Within the channel GUI, you will find a button with a cloud icon. Clicking that brings up a GUI with a list of all transmitters on the network ordered by channel and XYZi position (where "i" is the cell index on a Tiny Redstone panel). You may find this list useful if there are a lot of transmitters in your area, and you want to pick a unique channel, or if your receiver is getting a redstone signal you don't expect.

There is also a button available to server ops and players with cheats labeled "Clean Up". Pressing this buttons checks all the transmitters in the list and removes any that no longer exist in the world. Theoretically, this should never be necessary unless there is a world crash that prevents data from being saved properly, or if the Tiny Redstone mod was removed when tiny transmitters existed or if chunk data is deleted or corrupted.
