Tiny Redstone

Tiny Redstone

Tiny Redstone is a forge mod that adds many tiny redstone pieces that you can put together to form tiny redstone circuits. These circuits can be copied onto blueprints and shared inside and outside your Minecraft world.

They can be picked up, moved, rotated, and linked with other circuits. You can even dye and camouflage them to match your build!

Each block space can hold up to 448 components in an 8x8x7 grid. You can choose which sides each piece of Tiny Redstone Dust connects and make your circuits super compact.

Add-On Mods

Tiny redstone is a vanilla-focused mod with vanilla-like components. Here are a couple mods that take it beyond vanilla and make it more powerful.

Tiny Gates

Adds tiny, compact, commonly used redstone gates for building small integrated circuits.

Tiny Pipes

Adds modular pipes for transferring items, fluid, forge energy and redstone that can share block space with each other and Tiny Redstone circuits.

Ranged Wireless Redstone

Adds redstone transmitters and receivers (full sized and tiny) allowing redstone signals to be transmitted wirelessly over a limited distance.

How to Play

  • Craft some Tiny Redstone components and (optionally) a Redstone Panel.
  • Right click with the components to place them in world or on a Redstone Panel.
  • Left click with a component or Redstone Wrench in your hand to remove them.
  • Right click with a Redstone Wrench to rotate the panel (if placed on a Redstone Panel).
  • Pick up the circuit with all it's components and circuitry intact by shift-right clicking it with Redstone Wrench, or simply use a pick or your bare hands.

Tiny Redstone components can be placed anywhere, but there are some advantages to using a Redstone Panel.

  • Redstone Panels can be rotated.
  • Redstone Panels insulate your circuit from the neighboring block. This will prevent a component from powering the block below and then causing that block to power all of the components touching that block.
  • Redstone Panels can be placed in any orientation. So, you can place circuits on your walls and ceilings. Tiny Redstone Dust, Repeaters, and Comparators placed in world can only be oriented horizontally.

See Tiny Components  on the wiki for descriptions of all the tiny redstone things you can put on panels.

See Copying and Sharing Circuits on the wiki for details on how to save your circuit to a blueprint, copy it to other panels, export it for use in other worlds, import one to use in your world.

Minecraft Versions

Tiny Redstone is available from 1.16 up to the current version. You may need to click the "Files" tab above to see older versions.

Only the most recent Minecraft version will receive new features. Major bugs will be fixed on all versions if found.

I will not backport to 1.12.2. I don't have the time, and it's simply not worth it. I would rather spend the little time I have making the mod better.

Other Mod Loaders

I won't be porting this mod to Fabric or any other mod loader other than Forge. I just don't have the time to rewrite this mod and then to maintain another set of ports.

Credits, Acknowledgements and Thanks

Inspiration for this mod comes from many mods and vanilla Redstone, of course. Probably at the top of the list is Super Circuit Maker. Although there are many differences, I have long since missed being able to create my own compact redstone circuits, and made this mod to fulfill that deep longing. Thanks also goes to the Forge team and to the many mod authors who came before me. Without their community contributions, this would not have been possible.

Special thanks to lublak for extensive early beta testing, German translations and many great feature additions!
